Strasser developed a mechanical safety technology with the so-called MecLock Safety System, which increases personal safety in comparison to conventional electronic solutions, such as light barriers or sensing edges, and at the same time increases productivity of the machine. Right in the background of the new machinery directive 2006/42/EC coming into effect on December 29, 2009, Strasser shows with this innovation that both operator safety and machine productivity can be significantly improved by using MecLock technology.

The Dr. Rudolf Eberle Prize is presented to small and medium sized companies in Baden-Württemberg for exemplary innovative products, processes and technological services. It is one of the first prizes that was presented in Germany for innovation and this year celebrates its 25 year anniversary.
